Finger Lakes SPCA 2025 calendar photo contest
The Finger Lakes SPCA is pleased to announce our second annual Top Paws 2025 FLSPCA Calendar Photo Contest. The contest will allow participants to upload digital photos of their beloved companion and share a brief story with the world about their furry friend.
The contest will award prizes to entrants whose pictures and accompanying narratives are voted to be the best by the viewers through donation voting. Enter your pet starting at 9:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Monday, September 30, through Sunday, October 27, 2024 at 9:00 PM (Eastern Time). You may add a photo at any time during this period (entry is $10 per animal), and vote any time as well ($1 per vote with a minimum of 5 votes). You may vote as many times as you want during the contest period. Upload your photo and vote, vote, vote!
The top six dogs and top six cats will be featured in our second annual Finger Lakes SPCA calendar. In addition the top dog and the top cat will receive a $100 gift certificate for a photo session with your animal. 2nd price is a $50 certificate, and 3rd prize is a $25 Petsmart gift card.
All proceeds will be applied to the cost of caring for the homeless and neglected cats and dogs awaiting adoption at the Finger Lakes SPCA in Bath, New York.
Prizes:
The top 6 in the dog category and top 6 in the cat category will be featured in our second annual wall calendar, and the entrants will receive a free calendar.
The top dog and top cat winner will also receive a $100 gift certificate toward a photo shoot with Ashley VanHusen Photography LLC.
Second place dog and cat will receive a $50 gift certificate toward a photo shoot with Ashley VanHusen Photography LLC.
Third place finishers will receive a $25 gift certificate for Chewy.com.
The top three dogs and top three cats will also be featured on the Finger Lakes SPCA website.
Rules:
THE BASICS: ENTERING PHOTOS & VOTES
- Submit your pet’s photo with a $10 donation beginning at 9:00:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Monday, September 30, 2024.
- Photos are displayed on the website for voting until 9:00:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Sunday, October 27, 2024. Voting closes at 9:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Sunday, October 27, 2024 9:00 PM (Eastern Time).
- Photos may contain more than one dog or cat. A mixed dog and cat photo is allowable, but you must choose to enter it in either the dog category or the cat category.
- You may enter as many photos as you want, however keep in mind that friends and family votes add up, so spreading those votes among multiple entries limits your chances of winning.
- All submitted photos are subject to review and approval by FLSPCA before the entry becomes visible.
- All submitted photos become the property of FLSPCA to be used at their discretion for any and all marketing purposes.
- We will be accepting entries and donation votes through 9:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Sunday, October 27, 2024. Voting closes at 9:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Sunday, October 27, 2024.
VOTING
- Each $1 donation counts as one (1) vote. There is a $5.00 minimum vote per credit card transaction.
- When you donate to vote, you will receive a “bank” of votes that then need to be applied to the entries you wish to vote for. You can place all votes on one entry, or place them on multiple entries.
- All donations from voting are non-‐refundable. Entries and donations must be made via the online contest page. Contest payments online are through a secure site.
- You are encouraged to email links to family/friends to encourage voting for your pet’s photo.
- On your pet’s public page, there is a “share” button that allows you to share your entry through Facebook and other social networking sites.
- The FLSPCA is a 501(c) (3) organization. Donations are tax deductible.
- The email acknowledgment reply to your online donation serves as your tax receipt.
- Mailed paper tax acknowledgements must be requested specifically by emailing to janean@fingerlakesspca.org.
- Important: if your submission is low resolution or poor quality, your image may be excluded or you may be asked for a better quality image. To qualify, photo entries must be available in color, of horizontal (landscape) orientation, high resolution and able to be printed at a size of 8.5″ x 11″ without significant loss of quality.
