Our volunteers help with a wide array of duties and functions that are integral to the ongoing operation of our animal welfare organization.
Thank you so much for your inquiry. Volunteers play a vital role in our organization. In January/February 2023, we will introduce a new system for engaging volunteers. Volunteer opportunities and information as to how to apply for volunteer positions will be posted here on our website and, at times, on our social media page. Information such as volunteer interests, current availability, and commitment level can be provided to our organization by emailing info@fingerlakesspca.org. Due to the high volume of requests, we cannot guarantee return contact or availability of volunteer opportunities. At this time, our volunteer opportunities are for candidates aged 18 and older. Youth volunteer opportunities, for those under the age of 18, are typically performed as project work via groups such as 4-H, student groups, and clubs. We encourage interested youth volunteers to reach out to group or club leadership to request a potential working tour or project day. Individual youth can also leave/submit their contact information and inquire about possible project work. Interested youth leadership, and individual youth 15 and up, should email info@fingerlakesspca.org with their contact info, any special project interest, availability, and overall hours willing to commit to a volunteer work project. However, just as with our adult volunteer opportunities, we cannot guarantee return contact or availability of youth volunteer projects due to the high volume of requests. We encourage you to visit our website often to review available volunteer opportunities and determine if there is an opportunity that matches your availability and interests. We deeply appreciate your reaching out and value your thinking of our organization and the animals in our care.
